MEMBERSHIP FAQ'S
How much are membership fees?
Annual membership fees are currently $125 per year and will be prorated based upon the month you join as well as an initiation fee of $75. The annual membership amounts are reviewed by the BOD on an annual basis. Membership dues shall be due and payable by December 1 and be considered delinquent by January 10th of the following year. Memberships are from Jan1st thru Dec 31st of the calendar year. (By-Laws - Article V Membership, Sections T, U and X)
Can I use my membership to visit other yacht clubs?
Many yacht clubs will grant entrance to their clubhouse upon showing your CIYC membership card, but it is not a guarantee, so please call ahead of your visit.
Can I join if I do not own a boat?
You do not need to own a boat to become a member but we are a cruising club and the majority of our activities are centered around boating.
A membership includes how many people?
An individual or a couple may hold a regular membership and is entitled to only one vote at a Regular or Special General Meeting (By-Laws - Article V Membership, Section T)
Can guests attend a cruise out or event?
Please reach out to the cruise out/event leader for specifics. Normally, a member (on their boat only) can bring a guest or two to enjoy an event as long as there is capacity. The only boats allowed at cruise outs or events are member's boats.
What is the pet policy?
Most of the cruise out or events include pets, each member is responsible for understanding the pet policy for each location. This information can be obtained from the cruise out or event leader. All pets must be on a lease and under the member's control when not on the owner's vessel at all times.
